A Helinox chair or cot usually fails in one of three ways: the shock cord inside the frame loses tension, a pole section cracks or bends, or the seat fabric tears at a corner pocket. All three are everyday work here. We re-string frames with new shock cord, replace damaged sections with matching parts, and re-stitch or patch seat and cot fabric with the reinforcement the original had.
Helinox warranty and repair work comes through Rainy Pass. For a manufacturing defect, start with Helinox so they can authorize it. For a worn-out frame or damage from use, send it straight to us.
Send only the part that needs work when you can. For a frame repair, the frame alone is enough; for a seat repair, the seat alone.

Do I need to send the whole chair?
No. Send the frame for frame work or the seat for fabric work. Include your repair order number in the box.
Can a bent pole section be straightened?
Bent or cracked sections are replaced, not straightened. Replacement sections keep the frame at full strength.
Is my repair covered under warranty?
We are the authorized repair facility for many companies that make outdoor gear, but always check with the manufacturer before sending us a warranty repair. Some companies require a return authorization number (RA#) that only the manufacturer can issue. If you have one, put it on your repair order. Rainy Pass Repair does not issue RA numbers.
